Dental Hygiene
As well as regularly visiting our practice for dental check-ups hygiene appointments should be an essential part of your dental care. Hygienists are qualified members of the dental clinical team who focus on preventing and treating gum disease by promoting good oral hygiene as well as undertaking the cosmetic cleaning that they are renowned for.
Dental Fillings
Over four-fifths of the population have at least one filling of one sort or another but today, because we are much more conscious of our smile, we can choose a natural looking alternative – the composite or tooth-coloured filling. They support the structure of a damaged tooth, helping to prevent further breakage or sensitivity, and can be placed in the front or back teeth.
Emergency Care
If you require emergency dental treatment, you should ask to see a dentist as soon as possible. At our practice, we offer a same day service for all dental emergencies from toothache to lost or broken crowns, chipped teeth and fillings to abscesses, trauma, avulsed teeth, and a swollen face. We can take care of your injuries to ensure you heal quicker and more effectively, so you avoid additional dental problems in the future.
Dental Implants
Dental Implants are now and well-accepted way of replacing missing teeth. Our dentists will place them directly into your jawbone, where they provide an artificial replacement for the root of your missing tooth or teeth. They can then support crowns of dentures in a similar way to the way that roots support natural teeth.
Crowns & Bridges
Shaped like a natural tooth, crowns are used to improve contour and appearance of teeth after they’ve been damaged. Crowns are custom-made by a dental technician and fit over your existing tooth once it’s been prepared. Teeth Whitening
Teeth can appear dull for a number of reasons, including staining from smoking, drinking coffee and red wine, and aging. In-surgery whitening can noticeably lighten teeth and is a convenient option for busy patients as it can be undertaken in under two hours. We recommend that you maintain your whiter teeth by avoiding food and drinks that may stain and staying on top of your oral hygiene. Although the results of whitening are not permanent, mouth trays can be used at home if a top-up is necessary.

Excellent Service!
I've been with TanYgraig for 30 years and can highly recommend the service on offer. Nothing is to much trouble for Bally and the staff. I've called up out of the blue with problems with teeth breaking or cracking, because of a medical condition I have and each time I was asked to come in and was seen as soon as space was available. If the job was too large to do at the time Bally would give me a temporary fix until a longer appointment could be made.
